About Us:The Windsor Gardener is a locally owned and operated Garden Center located in beautiful Windsor, Colorado. We are a seasonal Garden Center that specializes in hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, container gardens, pottery, pond plants and unique gift items. We also carry a full line of fertilizers and soil amendments. We have years of experience in the garden center business. Pat, an owner, is a third generation nurseryman and has four brothers in the industry. Pat's grandfather started the family business by growing carnations that were sold as cut flowers. His father continued the tradition but changed from a wholesale carnation grower to a retail garden center owner when the carnation industry became non-profitable. Pat grew up working in his father's greenhouse in Longmont. His wife, Amanda grew up helping on her family's farm and fell in love with the greenhouse business after they were married. Pat and Amanda opened Plant-Scape in 1991. It was a very small greenhouse that was set up and taken down each season. As Windsor grew, it became harder and harder to find locations to set up the business so a permanent greenhouse was built. The name was changed so that people would have a better idea what we sell. The Windsor Gardener opened in 2001. Since opening in 2001, Pat and Amanda's children have joined the staff making them the fourth generation in this industry. Windsor is continually changing and we feel privileged to be a part of it. With over 15 years in Windsor we know what grows best here! Thanks Colorado. |
